Mission Statement
Aromatherapy Conference Tours (ACT) is a consortium of
medical professionals participating in national
educational aromatherapy conferences and free trade shows
open to the public in select venues across the
country. Each event features expert speakers as
well as open panel discussions and hands-on learning
workshops over a 3-day weekend. First two conference
evening meals included in registration fee. We offer
discounts to professional association members. If your
association is not listed please let us know.
ACTs medical professionals are pioneering an
alternative healthcare path with natural choices to
improve ones current well-being and lifestyle. By
employing bona fide credentialed medical professionals
and licensed practitioners to educate business,
professional and lay-persons alike about the potentials,
proper uses & safety of essential oils, ACT seeks to
firmly establish aromatherapy as an acceptable
complementary practice for common health and
illness related issues.
All attendees will learn valuable information from
experienced practitioners on how to protect and benefit
themselves, family, employees and clients using
essential oils. ACT strives to meticulously serve and
exceed all attendee expectations while maintaining an
impeccable standard of excellence.
Program
ACT focuses on providing professional and
alternative resources to mainstream healthcare
providers and practitioners, corporate benefit advisors,
business and lay-persons. Basic information is
provided along these tracks:

Track 2 Complementary and Alternative Practicum
Track 3 Theoretical Practicum
Track 4 Biochemistry and Pharmacology of Essential Oils
Track 5 Aesthetics, Cosmetology, Dermatology, Spa, Natural Perfumery
Track 6 Beginner and Popular Topics
Topics covered will be how to use essential oils to
handle common ailments such as stress, fatigue, mood
and sleep disorders, chronic pain, infections,
problem skin care and others. Other important subject
matter will explain the biochemistry and
pharmacology of essential oils, the introduction of
new and popular essential oils and how they are of
practical use, topical beginner and popular subjects, the theoretical
basis of how aromatherapy works at any level -
psychologically, physiologically, spiritually - with
a strong emphasis on how aromatherapy is best
integrated into holistic, alternative and complementary
programs. Other topics will cover the extensive use
of essential oils in aesthetics, cosmetology, dermatology,
spa uses and natural perfumery.
Purpose
The purpose of Aromatherapy Conference Tours (ACT) is to
bring proper
mainstream recognition and acceptance of
the aromatherapy arts and sciences
into the pantheon of complementary and alternative
medical/therapeutic practices.
This may be accomplished with a continuing,
coherent and reliable
representation of the known facts to professional,
corporate and public interests
with special focus on healthcare maintenance:
Continuing: Building momentum and thus
recognition with events four
times annually in major metro areas;
Coherent: Sustaining a clinically oriented
practicum on the potentials, proper
uses and safety of essential oils;
Reliable: Providing medical professionals and
licensed practitioners a professional
forum on a regular basis.
Objectives
The success of ACT depends on achieving the following
objectives:
Co-opting a core group of pro-active
professionals who share the same
goals and committment and have the potential to benefit
most from the forums success by having
educational training programs in place;
Open inclusion of all interested parties in
any part of the country who desire
a forum or venue, especially outreaching to those with
professional backgrounds
and/or active local/regional support networks already in
place from which to draw attendees;
Strong local/regional sponsorship in viable
major metro areas to design a
conference program, choose a suitable venue and attract
local/regional vendors;
Quality, professional caliber educational
program representing as many
local/regional presenters as possible (drawing on the
core group of national
luminaries when necessary) with strong local/regional
vendor support;
Increasing business opportunities for
aromatherapy educators and product
vendors;
Media outreach to target audiences with
ever-growing advertising/promotional initiatives;
Greater access into private, corporate,
institutional and public decision-making councils.
