Mission Statement

Aromatherapy Conference Tours (ACT) is a consortium of medical professionals
participating in national educational aromatherapy conferences and free trade shows
open to the public in select venues across the country. Each event features expert
speakers as well as open panel discussions and hands-on learning workshops
over a 3-day weekend. First two conference evening meals included in registration fee.
We offer discounts to professional association members. If your association is not
listed please let us know.

ACT’s medical professionals are pioneering an alternative healthcare path with
natural choices to improve one’s current well-being and lifestyle. By employing bona
fide credentialed medical professionals and licensed practitioners to educate business,
professional and lay-persons alike about the potentials, proper uses & safety of
essential oils, ACT seeks to firmly establish aromatherapy as an acceptable
complementary practice for common health and illness related issues.

All attendees will learn valuable information from experienced practitioners
on how to protect and benefit themselves, family, employees and clients
using essential oils. ACT strives to meticulously serve and exceed all
attendee expectations while maintaining an impeccable standard of excellence.

Program

ACT focuses on providing professional and alternative resources to mainstream
healthcare providers and practitioners, corporate benefit advisors, business and
lay-persons. Basic information is provided along these tracks:

Track 1 • Clinical Practicum
Track 2 • Complementary and Alternative Practicum
Track 3 • Theoretical Practicum
Track 4 • Biochemistry and Pharmacology of Essential Oils
Track 5 • Aesthetics, Cosmetology, Dermatology, Spa, Natural Perfumery
Track 6 • Beginner and Popular Topics

Topics covered will be how to use essential oils to handle common ailments
such as stress, fatigue, mood and sleep disorders, chronic pain, infections,
problem skin care and others. Other important subject matter will explain the
biochemistry and pharmacology of essential oils, the introduction of new and popular
essential oils and how they are of practical use, topical beginner and popular
subjects, the theoretical basis of how aromatherapy works at any level -
psychologically, physiologically, spiritually - with a strong emphasis on how
aromatherapy is best integrated into holistic, alternative and complementary programs.
Other topics will cover the extensive use of essential oils in aesthetics, cosmetology,
dermatology, spa uses and natural perfumery.

Purpose

The purpose of Aromatherapy Conference Tours (ACT) is to bring proper
mainstream recognition and acceptance of the aromatherapy arts and sciences
into the pantheon of complementary and alternative medical/therapeutic practices.
This may be accomplished with a continuing, coherent and reliable
representation of the known facts to professional, corporate and public interests
with special focus on healthcare maintenance:

• Continuing: Building momentum and thus recognition with events four
times annually in major metro areas;
• Coherent: Sustaining a clinically oriented practicum on the potentials, proper
uses and safety of essential oils;
• Reliable: Providing medical professionals and licensed practitioners a
professional forum on a regular basis.

Objectives

The success of ACT depends on achieving the following objectives:
• Co-opting a core group of pro-active professionals who share the same
goals and committment and have the potential to benefit most from the forum’s
success by having educational training programs in place;
• Open inclusion of all interested parties in any part of the country who desire
a forum or venue, especially outreaching to those with professional backgrounds
and/or active local/regional support networks already in place from which to draw
attendees;
• Strong local/regional sponsorship in viable major metro areas to design a
conference program, choose a suitable venue and attract local/regional vendors;
• Quality, professional caliber educational program representing as many
local/regional presenters as possible (drawing on the core group of national
luminaries when necessary) with strong local/regional vendor support;
• Increasing business opportunities for aromatherapy educators and product
vendors;
• Media outreach to target audiences with ever-growing advertising/promotional
initiatives;
• Greater access into private, corporate, institutional and public decision-making councils.

Together we can make a difference.
